On Thursday 25 May, we hosted our first Partner Day at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.

UNIwise has partnered with B2B software investor Monterro. The partnership will enable us to strengthen our platform, provide better support for our customers and support greater outreach in Europe. Likewise, we will be better resourced to secure both our customers’ success and product fit in the years to come while scaling. 

On Wednesday 17 May, 370 UCL students opted to take part in an in-person digital examination pilot, sat on WISEflow, at the ExCel Arena, London. We discussed this pilot with Joanne Moles, Head of Assessment Delivery and Platforms.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, students were sent to work from their homes as lockdowns came into effect worldwide. For many, however, this was not a feasible reality - huge numbers of students were unable to access the technology they needed to continue their studies. This issue is known as ‘digital poverty.’

UNIwise has add a new partner in our continuous ambition to improve security for WISEflow and our customers. We have partnered with GitHub, an Internet hosting service for software development and version control, to help protect users and prevent data leaks and fraud.

In August of 2022 UNIwise celebrated its 10-year anniversary at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark. Some of our colleagues have been here since the very beginning, so we sat down with some of them and asked them about their experiences at the company over the last decade!

On 13 and 14 September, UNIwise held the second-ever WISEcon at the Science and Industry Museum, Manchester, bringing together people who are passionate about learning technology across all levels of HE and from across Europe. The event was a great success, and it was really good to be able to meet our colleagues and customers in person after so long.

On 15 August 2022, UNIwise celebrated its tenth birthday. From starting as a cross-university project out of Aarhus University funded by the Danish Government Foundation for Welfare Technology to operating across Europe and providing a digital assessment platform for students across the globe, we reflected on the decade that was.

UNIwise is happy to announce that Aarhus University (AU) will be doing a full rollout of WISEflow from Autumn 2023. Currently, WISEflow is being used at Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences and Faculty of Health but as of late next year, it will be used at all five faculties.

UNIwise was invited to attend the German Bundesdekanekonferenz, which took place in June of this year. The common understanding of institutions in attendance was that the pandemic has accelerated the German education sector’s move towards a digital society.
